At New Vision we embrace involvement in serving our community and our church. Through this involvement hearts are joined in love and seekers meet believers. Minds may be opened to new ways of finding God as we work on community projects, talk to someone in need, or help plan a worship service.
Involvement in the life of our community
Homeless Coalition of Nassau County
The Yulee and Fernandina Interfaith Dinner Networks, sponsored by the Homeless Coalition, prepare and serve food to the homeless and underemployed. Financial donations as well as collections of food and supplies make these vital ministries possible. The Homeless Coalition also supports a Day Center Drop-in and the Cold Night Shelter.
Micah’s Place
We offer mission activities to support Micah’s Place which provides services for abused women. We collect and donate cell phones and toys (in new or very good condition) for Micah’s Place.
Mobile Food Pantry at the Peck Center
Anyone may volunteer to assist with food distributions from the Mobile Food Pantry of Second Harvest. This important ministry requires a minimal time commitment to serves those in need in our community.
First Coast AIDS Walk
New Vision sponsors the First Coast AIDS Walk each fall. This fundraiser provides advocacy and services for those impacted by AIDS.
Arts Alive Nassau
Our member volunteers bring art and music to children in Nassau County, FL. New Vision presents concerts to benefit Arts Alive’s free art classes. These free classes help compensate for decreased public education budgets.
